Driving Again
Not that any of you care, but I've stopped taking the bus and started driving again. I'm making a public (as public as my stupid blog is) declaration that I am indeed a hipocrit but that I don't care anymore. I've been taking the bus since November (yes, I chose to start in the winter) and I've been pretty frustrated with it. Here are the reasons why I've decided to give up on the bus (Route 1):
- It doesn't come very often, once every 20-30 minutes, which means I need to time my departures, which really means that I don't get anything done during the time that I'm waiting to leave. This is compared to the #7 which I used to take which came like once every 5-10 minutes.
- There's no service after 6:30pm. This sucks, I need to constantly check my clock when it gets close to the end of the day or I'll be stuck.
- It takes 3 buses to get to work on the holiday schedule, which isn't a holiday for Amazonians.
- I don't eat very well when I take the bus. When I drove I used to stop off at the grocery store, or the butcher, or the fish monger on the way home. So I ended up cooking a lot. When I take the bus I'm too tired by the time I get home to get in the car and goto the grocery store.
